These images and photos are from the Cultural Celebration that the Target Tempe Diversity & Inclusion Council coordinated. As mentioned on some of my past D&I posts, I was part of the Diversity Council from April 2006 - March of 2020. The council was a local collaborative effort to bridge the gap of the employee resource groups from the main HQ in Minneapolis, Minnesota and satellite HQ in Tempe, Arizona. We created mirror and unique events for the team at the Tempe HQ.
In 2010, we organized a cultural celebration event that would feature each of the main councils that we had at the time and also invited the Volunteer Council to participate. Along with information at each booth/table, we created a slideshow. In order to increase participation and interaction, we also came up with questions that could be answered by visiting each of the booths. That questionnaire could then be dropped into a box for a drawing with various D&I themed prizes.
For this compilation I've included photos taken by Robin, some of the informational pieces created for the GLBT table, which was the one I worked on, more specifically the brochure that we handed out, and photos that I myself took. The photos are both from the day before the event, setup day, and the day of the event.
